Commemorating Two Years

On October 7, 2023, the deadliest attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust forever changed our community—in Israel and across the Jewish world. Two years later, that day continues to shape us: through grief, through resilience, and through a renewed commitment to one another.

This October, we invite you to honor this moment through community gatherings, ritual, remembrance, and action. From community events to stories, names to prayers, discover what speaks to you.

We compiled this page to be a resource to remember, reflect, and reconnect—with each other and with our values. Whether you’re seeking a story to share, a tune to inspire, or a place to gather, we invite you to start here.

Resources to Remember & Reflect at Home

Because October 7, 2025, falls during Sukkot, some synagogues will include a commemoration during their holiday prayer service.  Israel has designated the official memorial date for Oct 7 on the Hebrew date Tishrei 24, which falls on October 16, 2025 this year.   Whenever you choose to commemorate, we have compiled a list of resources to help you reflect in ways that feel personal and meaningful.
