Pirke Avot, The Ethics of Our Ancestors, expresses a vision of the Jewish people as an evolving religious civilization. These texts are guideposts to each generation in how to inherit the teachings of our forebears, reflect them in virtuous lives, and bequeath them to our descendants. Each week we will create our own layers of commentary, explaining and applying lessons learned from our ancient texts. Class meets weekly.
